H.E. Hussain Jasim Al Nowais

H.E. Hussain J. Al Nowais has over 25 years of combined experience in business management, banking, finance, investment, hospitality, real estate, and industrial and project development. He has been actively involved in setting up new businesses and in the acquisition of ongoing business, primarily in the Gulf States and the Middle East.

Al Nowais presently holds the position of Chairman of Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC), Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Emirates Steel, Waha Capital and National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). He is Vice-Chairman of General Holding Corporation (GHC) and is a Board Member of several companies and institutions, including Abu Dhabi Economic Development Council, The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp), Abu Dhabi Aviation and Sheikh Khalifa University for Science & Technology.

A UAE national born in Abu Dhabi, Al Nowais graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Finance, from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in the U.S. He has since attended various Executive Management courses at INSEAD in France and London Business School in the U.K.
