Aims and Objectives

The general aim of the programs offered by the College of Engineering is to provide a degree level education that leads to the development of professional engineering graduates in the areas of Engineering who:

  • Have a solid understanding of the fundamental engineering concepts and their application in problem solving,
  • Are capable of applying modeling, analysis and design skills in developing products,
  • Are equipped with personal and professional skills needed in order to become effective team members,
  • Aave good understanding of the business environment and an appreciation of its requirements,
  • Are capable of contributing to the decision making process associated with the introduction and application of modern technologies in the local economic infrastructure,
  • Are equipped to carry out research and development work in the application of modern technology, and to pursue further academic study,
  • Have the attitude and skills required for continuing professional and personal  development
