Target Group In accordance with its mission as the UAE Educational and Research network, ANKABUT can provide Internet services only to the following four groups of customers: Education: This group includes all the recognised UAE universities, colleges, and a number of adult education institutions. Large subsidized educational establishments and recognized organisations whose core business lies in the field of education may also be eligible for a connection to ANKABUT. Research: Research institutions and research laboratories with a branch in UAE, or who collaborate with organisations on experimenting with network technology. Private companies and organisations may also be eligible, though this eligibility may be restricted to their research activities. Government and Public Administration: Government departments at the federal, regional, and local levels. Regional networks: This group includes organisations that provide network services and connectivity to educational institutions , research organizations , government departments and regional or local authorities .
