Richard Resnick, M.S., M.B.A.
CEO, GenomeQuest, Inc.

In an acceleration of technological efficiency never seen before, the price of sequencing a single nucleotide of DNA has fallen 100 million fold in the past ten years. This technological change is fueling remarkable advances in biology, healthcare, food production, and our basic understanding of what it means to be human. It also represents a force for significant societal change, promising to cure cancer and increase lifespan. Given the enormity of its multiple impacts, genomics stands to become the civil and human rights issue of the coming century.
