Khalifa University gears up its students with free laptops
Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR) announced that it has supplied all its students with brand new free laptops to facilitate communication and enhance their productivity on and off campus at all times, in a campaign called “Stay connected”.

Laptops have become an essential tool for modern academia; students can interact with their professors in accordance to the most high-tech and international practices. Students can also retain information and retrieve it when needed as well as access wireless internet at any given place or time, and remain mobile on or off campus. This “Stay connected” initiative will directly contribute to boosting their knowledge intake and allow them convenience when studying or preparing research papers.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Mualla, KUSTAR’s Interim Provost commented: “At KUSTAR, we’re keen on attracting the best students by offering scholarships for young men and women of all nationalities as well as monthly stipends to UAE Nationals and honor students. KUSTAR is also committed to providing our students with all the necessary tools to enhance their academic, scientific and research performance, and this campaign will boost their technical competence as well as their research acumen.”

Dr. Al-Mualla added: “In addition to the laptops, both KUSTAR campuses in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are outfitted with high speed WiFi, which encourages them to ‘stay connected’ freely on campuses to work or study even in open areas.”

On their part, the students expressed their delight to have received the laptops as a testimony to the University’s continuous interest to encourage them to succeed in their studies for their benefit and that of the nation.
