Dr. El-Kork received her Ph.D. specialized in near field optical microscopy of hybrid nanoparticles and silicon nanocrystals from University Claude Bernard Lyon 1-France in July 2009; During her Ph.D. program, she participated in a joint European Research Group ‘NANOLUM’ between France and Germany, in collaboration with Max Plank Institute for physics and astrophysics. She has been part of Khalifa University faculty since September 2010. She is now interested into continuing research in theoretical calculations pertaining to the optical properties of diatomic molecules in the gaseous state.
