KUSTAR holds a seminar on the Election Scheme for Intrusion Detection in MANET
Dr. Hadi Otrok, Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), Abu Dhabi has presented to KUSTAR Sharjah Campus faculty a mechanism design-based multi-leader election scheme for intrusion detection in MANET
In his presentation, Dr. Otrok addressed the election of multiple leaders for intrusion detection in the presence of selfish nodes in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). To balance the resource consumption and prolong the lifetime of all nodes, each cluster should elect a node with the most remaining resources as its leader.Dr. Otrok is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. During his Ph.D., he worked on network security, more specifically, on intrusion detection systems in Mobile Ad hoc Network
