Accreditation

Accreditation and Licensure by the Ministry of Higher Education, UAE

Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education. Licensure ensures that an institute meets the criteria of quality performance generally accepted by the international higher education community. The individual B.Eng.(Hons) degrees are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education. Accreditation attests to the overall quality of the individual degree programme. It considers the curriculum, pedagogical relevance, faculty competence, educational environment and resources. "Successful completion of the programme demonstrates the student's intellectual, personal and professional ability to function effectively in a technological and global society".

The M.Sc. (by Research) has obtained Accreditation Eligible Status from the Ministry of Higher Education.

The Ph.D. programme has obtained Accreditation Eligible Status from the Ministry of Higher Education.

Accreditation by the Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK (IET)

All the undergraduate degree programmes offered by Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research have also been awarded accreditation by the IET. The University has thus become the first higher education institution in the Arab World, and one of only a few universities/university-colleges outside the United Kingdom , to achieve this prestigious status. The achievement of IET accreditation is a testimony to the excellent educational standards that Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research maintains, equaling the quality offered by the best British Universities. Graduates of Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research are accordingly entitled to become Chartered Engineers by the fast track route of registration.
